Market initiated ratings (unsolicited ratings undertaken as a public service to the market keeping in view the general interest of market participants and to enhance market transparency) are solely based on information obtained by CRA from public sources and thus such information may be neither complete nor accurate. Although reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the rating rationale/reports are accurate, such rating rationale/reports are provided ‘as is’ without any warranty of any kind, and CRA in particular, makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of any such rating rationale/reports or any information contained in them. All conditions, warranties and representations, express or implied by regulation, law, ordinance, statute, common law or otherwise in relation to rating rationale/reports are excluded. 

All rating rationale/reports must be construed solely as statements of opinion, and CRA shall not be liable for any losses incurred by users from any use of the rating rationale/reports. CRA does not undertake to advise of changes in any opinions, analysis or information in rating rationale/reports and may make changes without notice.

A decision to buy/sell/invest in any of CRA rated entity/instrument should not be made in reliance on any of the statements set forth in s rating rationale/reports.  Prospective buyers/sellers/investors are advised to make a buy/sell/investment decision in relation to any CRA rated asset/entity/instrument only after carefully considering the risks associated with such asset/entity/instrument as detailed in an offering memorandum or similar document that is prepared by or on behalf of the entity.

CRA is not engaged in the offer or sale of any carbon asset/credit or instrument. A report providing a rating by CRA is neither a prospectus nor a substitute for the information assembled, verified and presented to market participants by the originator/seller of carbon credits/assets/ instruments and its agents in connection with the sale of such carbon credits/assets/instruments. Ratings may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn at anytime without notice for any reason in the sole discretion of CRA.

CRA rating rationale/reports do not comment on the adequacy of market price, the suitability of any carbon credit/asset/instrument for a particular buyer/investor, or the tax-exempt nature or taxability of payments made in respect to any credit/asset/instrument. When undertaking a mandated rating, CRA receives fees from the entity mandating the rating which is normally the developer/originator. CRAs ratings may also be subscribed to by market participants.

Analysts who prepare rating rationale/reports hereby certify that all of the views expressed accurately reflect their personal views about any and all of the subject CERs. The analysts also certify that no part of their compensation was, is, or will be, directly or indirectly, related to the specific recommendations or views expressed by them in any rating rationale/report. None of the analysts, nor any member of such analysts' households, has a financial interest in the CERs which are the subject of a rating rationale/report. The analysts have no actual material conflict of interest of which they know or have reason to know at the time of the publication of any rating rationale/report. The analysts receive compensation based upon various factors (such as the general perception of their ability and their commitment to their work) and upon the overall revenues of CRA.

Any material or information transmitted to or posted to this Site by the user by any means will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and may be disseminated or stored or used by CRA or its affiliates for any purpose whatsoever. You may not post or transmit to or from this Site any unlawful, threatening, defamatory, libelous, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane material or any other material which could give rise to any civil or criminal liability in any territory, state, province or country to which this Site relates.

The trade marks and logos (the Trademarks) used and displayed on this Site (including Credit Ratings Agency) are registered and unregistered trademarks of CRA and others and may not be used in any manner without the prior written consent of the Trademark owner.

Privacy policy

The Credit Rating Agency (CRA) is strongly committed to protecting your privacy online and has taken steps to protect the information you share with us. The information we collect about you is used to process registration and subscription requests for our services. Requests and information are transmitted via a secure server, which encrypts all input prior to being sent, and all information is securely stored. To help us protect your privacy, please maintain the secrecy of the logon ID and password you may have set up in connection with your participation in any CRA service.

CRA does collect personal information in order to provide you with customized services, content, and advertisements. We may also ask you for personal information at other times, for example when you enter a promotion.  CRA will also use your personal information for the purposes of providing you with any services to which you subscribe, and any service-related activities such as collecting subscription fees from you for those services, and notifying you or contacting you regarding any problem with, or the expiration of, such services. In this regard, it may be necessary for CRA to disclose your personal information to one or more agents and contractors of CRA and their subcontractors, but such agents, contractors, and subcontractors will be required to agree to use the information obtained from CRA only for these purposes.
